Traffic Stop Leads To Meth Arrest
WARSAW — Carrie Sinae Finken, 39, 708 W. Catholic St., Pierceton, who also is listed with an address of 4749 E. 100S, Pierceton, has been arrested on charges stemming from a July 27 traffic stop. She was arrested on a warrant Saturday afternoon, Nov. 7.
Finken has been preliminarily charged with possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony, and maintaining a common nuisance, a level 6 felony. Charges were filed in Kosciusko Circuit Court by Indiana State Police on July 28.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, Warsaw Police Officer Rogelio Navarro saw a yellow SUV eastbound on US 30 and Center Street, Warsaw, failing to give a proper signal for a lane change and made a traffic stop. Inside the vehicle were Finken, driver; front seat passenger Monica Mullins, and rear seat passenger, Steven Lindsey.
ISP Office Luke Waikel arrived to assist in the traffic stop, as police had received prior information indicating all three individuals were involved in manufacturing meth.
Waikel observed clear plastic bags in the back seat of the vehicle. A consent to search the vehicle was given by Finken, in which the plastic bag found in the back seat tested positive for methamphetamine. It was learned Finken and Mullins resided on East CR 100S, Pierceton, with Lindsey. A consent to search the residence was also given to police.
A search of the residence found a one-pot meth lab in a bedroom, and an HCL generator used in the final production of methamphetamine. Numerous paraphernalia associated with manufacturing methamphetamine, including chemical reagents were found in another bedroom.
Police spoke with Lindsey who allegedly admitted the meth in the vehicle belonged to him and he manufactures meth at the residence. Mullins and Finken also allegedly told police Lindsey furnishes them with the meth.
Finken was held on $2,000 surety and $250 cash bond.
