November First Friday A ‘Chili’ Event
WARSAW — For fans of chili, downtown Warsaw was the place to be last evening Friday, Nov. 6, as local chili chefs went head-to-head for a chili cookoff.
The event featured a penny-a-vote people’s choice award as well as judges’ choice.
Despite a slight November chill, crowds still flocked downtown to sample spicy creations and peruse vendor booths lining the streets. The sounds and smells of kettle corn filled the autumn air as kids, adults and even some canines enjoyed the evening’s festivities.
The Warsaw Community High School Theater Department performed glimpses from their upcoming play, “The Sound of Music.
Next month’s First Friday theme will be “Happy Holly Days.” As the name suggests First Fridays take place from 6 to 9 p.m. the first Friday of every month in downtown Warsaw.
November’s First Friday sponsors were the Dane and Mary Louise Miller Foundation and the City of Warsaw.
