Whitko Electric Out Of Gate
FORT WAYNE – It was an offensive start for the Whitko girls basketball team Thursday night. The Lady Wildcats were hitting on all cylinders in a 90-37 win at Fort Wayne North Side in the season opener for both clubs.
Whitko had eight players get into the scoring column on the night, led by the game-high 28 points from Aly Reiff and 26 points from Brianna Cumberland. The two combined for 14-18 from the free throw line and hit 10 three-pointers between them.
Hanna Yohe tossed in 11 points while Jennifer Reiff and Emily Day each scored seven points. Ellie Snep (5) Kennedy Krull (4) and Haley Yohe (2) rounded out the Wildcat scoring.
Tyra Pertette led North Side with 11 points while Nicole Sewell chipped in seven points.
The Lady Cats (1-0) are back in action Tuesday, Nov. 10, at Central Noble.
