Bonnie Isabelle (Brumbaugh) Ressler was born a valentine on Feb. 14, 1927. She grew up in Gravelton, one of ten children of Clarence and Hazel (Clouse) Brumbaugh. Bonnie graduated from New Paris High School in 1945. On Jan. 14, 1950 she married Dale Ressler and they made their home in the Nappanee area where they raised their family.

She was a strong and independent woman who did for others in so many ways. As a competitive young woman she enjoyed softball, bowling and skating. She was a whiz at ping pong and is still the undisputed family “croquet queen”. Bonnie was known for her pies and kept a stash ready for the kids and grandkids. She enjoyed being outside and for many years helped Dale on the family farm.
She raised her family to know her precious Savior and she entered heaven at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015.
She is survived by children: Dale Jr. (Roberta), Westfield; Jerry (Rutha), Goshen; Dawn (Bryan) Sheets, Nappanee; Christine (Brett) Lamont, Edwardsburg, Mich.; Joyce (Gary) Kiefer, Bremen; Doris (Rick) Mealor, Burleson, Texas; Irene (Bill) Moyer, Elkhart; and Judy (Russell) Steele, Bremen; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters: Maxine Sharp, Min.; and Marge Stump, Ala.
