Kaleen S. Krom
Kaleen S. Krom 71, Rochester, passed away at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday Nov. 3, 2015, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
She was born on April 14, 1944, in Rochester, the daughter of George W. and Jospehine (Thompson) Krom Jr. She graduated from Rochester High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Manchester College and her Master’s Degree from St. Francis University, Fort Wayne.
Kaleen had taught high school English for Warsaw Community High School, North Miami High School and Kewanna High School. She was member of the First Baptist Church, Rochester, where she was active in the Fellowship Guild, Fulton County Retired Teacher’s Association, Rochester Rotary Club, the Red Hat Society, active member in the Republican Party and Tri-Kappa Sorority.
Survivors include her brother: George W. (Nancy) Krom III, Rochester; sister: Barbara Jo Bryant, London, Ohio; nieces: Kristi (John) Kretzmeier, Fowler; Kimberly Wojcik, Lebanon; Ivy (Brett) Lyvers, Charlestown; nephew: G. Wayne (Johnie) Krom, Rochester; several great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother: James Robert Krom.
Funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, 2015, at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, with Dr. Mark Spencer officiating. Friends may visit from 5-8 p.m. Saturday and one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church.
