Incumbents Remain In Charge At Silver Lake
SILVER LAKE — There will be no changes in the Silver Lake Town Council with the incumbents retaining their seats.
Remaining on the board will be Chad M. Miner and Phillip J. Shalley, Republicans, and Gale Owens, Democrat. Incumbent Clerk-treasurer Tonya Conley, was unopposed.
The four-way race for three-seats on the city council was close. Total vote tallies resulted in Miner with 69 votes; Shalley with 57; Nichole Renee Taylor, Republican, with 49; and Owens with 56. Conley received a total of 80 votes.
Precinct Breakdown
There were 337 registered voters in Lake 1 Precinct, with 62 casting their ballots for an 18.40 percent turnout.
In this precinct Miner received 48 votes; Shalley, 44; Taylor, 31; and Owens, 43 votes. Conley received 59 votes. There was one Democrat and three Republican straight party ballots cast.
Lake 2 Precinct had 23 ballots of its 153 registered voters cast for a 15.03 percent turn out. This precinct gave Miner 21 votes, and Taylor receiving 18 votes. Shalley and Owens tied with 13 votes each. Conley received 21 votes. There were five straight party Republican ballots cast.
There were no absentee ballots cast in Lake 1 or Lake 2 precincts.
