Elizabeth G. Alderfer
Mrs. Elizabeth G. Alderfer, 93, Rochester, passed away at 9:55 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2, 2015, at Life Care Center of Rochester.
On Feb. 22, 1922, Elizabeth was born in Kokomo to William C. and Elizabeth Short Davidson.
Elizabeth and Frederick Clinton Alderfer were married on June 30, 1949, in Rochester. They shared 35 years of life’s adventures. He passed away on December 8, 1984. Their union produced three sons: Richard, Charles and Stephen. Later two more branches were added to the family tree with six grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
As a homemaker, Elizabeth cherished the time spent with her family. Her memberships included the Eagles and Veterans of Foreign Wars Women’s Auxillaries of Rochester.
Elizabeth is lovingly remembered by three sons: Richard Alderfer; Charles (Sharon) Alderfer; and Stephen Alderfer, all of Rochester; six grandchildren: Lisa Kay Franklin; Jeri Leininger; Sabrena Simpson; Seanita Alderfer; Amber Olinger; Chris (Teresa) Alderfer; 14 great-grandchildren: Damien Franklin; Brooke Franklin; Talyn Becker; Anaisha Becker; Kylee Clark; Krystin Alderfer; Garrett Alderfer; Grady Simspson; Jacob Simpson; Parker Brown; Baylee Brown; Easton Alderfer; Abby Marshall; Katie McKinney; a sister: Marie Stockberger, Rochester; two brothers: William Charles (Betty) Davidson, Kokomo; and Richard ‘Dick’ Davidson, Elkhart; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Elizabeth in death are her parents; husband; and a brother: Raymond Davidson, who was killed in the Korean War.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, at Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester. The service will begin at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, also at the funeral home. Pastor Thad Stewart will officiate services. Private family interment will be in the Richland Center IOOF Cemetery.
