Programs and events for November:
Cookbook club meets from 10-11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2. Bring pumpkin recipes and sample a pumpkin dish.
New release Tuesday is from 4-5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3. Rated PG. Call for title.
Scott Workman’s classic guitar recital is from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3. This is being done in preparation for his master’s recital at IUSB. This recital will feature music from all historical time periods. Register for this event.
Drop-in zone is from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4. Drop in to play video games or watch a movie, for grades six through high school only.
Off the shelf reading group meets from 2-3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5. Join the discussion with coffee and friends. This month’s read is “China Dolls” by Lisa See.
Chess Club meets from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 7, Nov. 14, and Nov. 21 only. Bring a game if you have one. For beginners and experts.
The Knit and Purl club meets from 6-7:45 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9. For beginners and experts. See yarn made on a spinning wheel, and bring your projects.
Writers club meets from 6:30-7:45 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9. Topics include Thanksgiving, thankfulness, reflection and family time.
Make it and take it crafts are making sweater pumpkins from 3-4:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12. Make a pumpkin out of a sweater. The cost is $2. Each child must be accompanied by an adult. Register for this event.
The Lake City Piecemakers Quilt Club meet from 9:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13. The block of the month is “Lady of the Lake” and see a demo on power cutting. Meeting room C.
Sleep 101 is from noon until 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17. Having trouble falling asleep? Learn how important sleep is to your health. Presented by Jennifer Hoover, RPH of Walgreens Pharmacy. Register for this program.

There is a card making class from 6-7:45 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29. Make three cards with Faith Ketterer, a Stampin Up consultant. Register at the desk with a $4 non-refundable cash deposit. An additional $4 is due at the time of class.
