UPDATE: Accident On SR 15/CR 400S
UPDATE: David A. Fulkerson, 47, West CR 550N, Wabash, and Mark S. Louvier, 51, North Sycamore Street, North Manchester, were both transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital following the three-vehicle accident at 7:27 a.m. today. The accident was on SR 15, north of CR 400S.
Fulkerson complained of back pain and Louvier complained of pain to the knee, lower leg, foot area. Timothy S. Jayne, 26, North High Street, Silver Lake, driver of the third vehicle, was not injured.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Officer Brandon Hepler was told by Fulkerson, he was northbound on SR 15 in a 1988 Toyota SUV, when another vehicle pulled out in front of him from CR 400S. Fulkerson stated he applied his brakes to avoid a collision and lost control of his vehicle ending up sideways in the roadway. The vehicle that pulled out in front of him continued north.
Louvier, southbound in a 1998 Chevrolet S10 pick up truck, saw the Fulkerson vehicle in the middle of the road, but could not avoid hitting the Toyota. Jayne, who was also southbound on SR 15 in a 2002 Chevrolet Z28, was unable to avoid hitting the Louvier vehicle.
Damage was estimated up to $25,000.
WARSAW — Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, Warsaw/Wayne Fire Department and Lutheran EMS are at the scene of a three-vehicle accident. The accident is on SR 15, just north of CR 400S.
At least two individuals were transported from the scene. The accident involved a Chevrolet pick up truck, a Chevrolet Camero and a black SUV.
Northbound traffic on SR 15 is being re-routed on CR 400S until the accident scene can be cleared.
