Indiana Cities Ranked For Halloween Fun
INDIANA — Halloween is just a few days away and many people are planning how they will spend this spookiest weekend of the year. With this in mind, Wallet Hub recently ranked 100 cities, including two in Indiana, as some of the best and worst in the country for Halloween.
Looking at 100 of the nation’s most populated locations, Wallet Hub examined factors like percentage of the population under age 14 and percentage of occupied housing units for potential trick-or-treat stops. It also looked at walkable distances in neighborhoods, crime rate, candy stores, even weather.
Keeping older kids and adults in mind, the study also examined things like nearby amusement parks, movie ticket prices and price of a ticket to a Halloween party.
After sinking their fangs into these numbers, Wallet Hub researchers ranked Fort Wayne at number 61. Indianapolis was a little less spook-tacular, coming in at number 93.
Number one on the list was New York City, N.Y. Coming in last was St. Petersburg, Fla.
