Arthur Van ‘Art’ Phagan
Arthur Van ‘Art’ Phagan, 66, died at 3:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27, 2015, at his Columbia City home.
He was born on April 17, 1949, in Chicago, Ill., to Arthur and Caroline (Cowen) Phagan, Columbia City, and was the Inspector for Cook County (Illinois) Health Department. He loved music, especially contemporary Christian and slow jazz. He enjoyed watching historical movies.
Arthur is survived by his companion: Julane M. Baggett; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, and will be officiated by Rev. Ken Locke, The Salvation Army, Warsaw. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Memorial contributions may be given to a charity of choice or simple acts of kindness may be done for others in Arthur’s memory.
