Road Rage Accident On US 31 Lands One In Jail
MARSHALL COUNTY — Marshall County Sheriff’s Department received a 911-emergency call at 8:21 a.m. today, Friday, Oct. 23, from a motorist advising of a road rage incident. The incident occurred in the area of US 31 and 14C Road. The report was a motorist was ramming his vehicle into another vehicle causing damage.
John Renner, 63, Mishawaka, was arrested and booked into the Marshall County Jail for aggressive driving, a class A misdemeanor, along with reckless driving. No bond information was available.
Officers from Marshall County Sheriff’s Department spoke with Anthony J. Jamora, Elkhart, who reported there had been a road rage incident involving him and another driver, later identified as John Renner. Jamora stated while driving southbound on US 31, Renner pulled his vehicle beside his vehicle and rammed his vehicle and then continued southbound on US 31.
A witness to the accident was able to obtain a license plate number of Renner’s vehicle. The driver was later identified and later returned to the scene.
