DNR Saves Bald Eagle In Southern Indiana
PIKE COUNTY — Cpl. Eric Doane with Indiana DNR Law District 7 responded to an injured bald eagle Monday afternoon in Pike County.
The eagle had been hit by a car on SR 57 near the White River Bridge, according to DNR.
Eagle wranglers Brett Bobe, Chuck Stanker and Chris Royal helped secure the eagle so it could be taken to a wildlife rehabilitator.
DNR says it seemed to be a left leg injury, but the bird will be evaluated Tuesday by a veterinarian.
“I can’t say enough about the remarkable quality of care Angel provides for our wildlife,” DNR Law District 7 wrote on Facebook. “Once again….thank you!”
