Chili Dinner To Benefit Firefighter Battling Cancer
Columbia Township Fire Department will host a Chili Benefit Dinner in honor of retired CTFD Firefighter Mark Sievers. Sievers was diagnosed with stage 3 pancreatic cancer and firefighters are asking for the public’s help in battling the rising costs of treatment by enjoying a meal with them.
The dinner, to be held from 4-8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at 22 E. Radio Road, Columbia City, will include chili, hot dog, curly fries, a drink and more. Cost of the meal is a free will donation and food will be offered as supplies last.
A firetruck show and 50/50 Raffle will also take place. Fire trucks will be available for tours, questions and lights/sirens for the children. Reflective mailbox signs will also be made while guests eat.
The event is sponsored by the Columbia Township Volunteer Fire Department.
