William ‘Mike’ Michael Gentry
William Michael “Mike” Gentry, 52, of North Liberty, passed away at 7:47 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015, at his home.
He was born on May 11, 1963, in Florence, Ala., to William and Peggy (Smith) Gentry.
On Aug. 26, 2006, in Mishawaka, Mike was united in marriage to the former Marci A. Poor.
Mike lived most of his life in the local area. He graduated from Bremen High School and worked as an installation technician for Direct TV Satellite.
Mike is survived by his wife, Marci A. Gentry; daughters: Dahlia (Sam) Witt of Buchanan, Mich., Natalie (fiancé Brian Wade) Gentry of Florida, Shyanne Gentry at home; son: Billy Scott at home; mother, Peggy Gentry of Bremen; father, William Gentry of Tippecanoe; eight grandchildren; brother, Joe (Ellen) Gentry of South Bend; sister-in-law: Peggy A. Gentry of South Bend; father and mother-in-law, Floyd and Cheryl Poor of South Bend; and several nieces, nephews and cousins who loved him very much.
His brother, Dennis Randall Gentry preceded him in death on January 3, 2012.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015, at United Pentecostal Church, 4609 Ironwood Road, South Bend. Rev. Terry Henson, pastor of Greater Faith Fellowship, will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.
Friends may visit with the family from 4-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12, at the United Pentecostal Church and one hour prior to the service, also at United Pentecostal Church.
Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend, is assisting the family with arrangements.
