Don D. Ortman
Don D. Ortman, 63, of Logansport, passed away at 10:57 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015, at St. Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette.
Born on Dec. 27, 1951, in Logansport, he was the son of the late Paul and Helen (Zellers) Ortman.
He attended Kewanna High School.
Don was a self employed contractor who formerly owned and operated Ortman Excavating and Pool Services. He also had formerly worked at Steinberger Construction.
Don was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Delphi. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, fishing, dirt track racing, and being a heavy equipment operator.
Survivors include son: Robert Paul Ortman of Logansport; daughter: Amanda (Jay) Adair of Logansport; brother: Thomas Ortman of Indianapolis; sisters: Dorothy Kwiatkowski of Florida, Donna Miller, and Barbara LaFerte, both of Greenwood. He is also survived by grandchildren; Zoey and Blaine Adair.
He was also preceded in death by son, Jeffrey P. Ortman and sister, Georgia Hickey.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 13, at Marocco-Rans Funeral Chapel, Logansport, with Pastor Brent Oliver officiating.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 12, 2015 at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Citizens I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Kewanna.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Assembly of God Church in Delphi.
