Firefighters Visit Triton Elementary Students
By DONNA BURROUGHS

Firefighters from the Bourbon Fire Department took time from their busy schedule to visit Triton Elementary School to help students learn about how to be safe in fire emergencies.
Participating firefighters included Robert Firestone, Shawn Meinert, Paul Martin, Doug Eyrich, DJ Lindsey and Lane Stevens. They wanted to be sure everyone has at least one working fire alarm but said it is best to have one for every bedroom. They also explained that families need to make plans now in order to know what they will do and where they will meet if a fire were to ever happen in their home.
Knowing to call 911 in an emergency, along with stop, drop and roll if clothes catch fire, were reviewed, along with other tips like not going back into a fire to look for pets or toys.
