Midwest Xtreme Hosting Cheer 101 Team
WARSAW – The “Cheer 101 Team” is coming to Warsaw, and are looking for students who are interested in joining the team. Midwest Xtreme is excited to offer “Cheer 101 Team” starting Thursday, Oct. 8, at 6 p.m.
This team is designed to teach the basics of cheer and excite a passion for cheerleading. Students, ages 7-12, will learn basic cheer motions, tumbling, jumps, pyramids, dance moves, basic stunting, and learn how to use pom-poms.
The head coach for this team is a cheerleader from Manchester University. Students will learn the importance of team work and individual dedication. The team is a awesome learning opportunity for students who are interested in All Star cheer or school cheer teams, but are looking to first grow their confidence.
The “Cheer 101 Team” will learn a short routine that will be perform two showcases during local high schools varsity basketball games, and perform at special events. Unlike the All Star cheer, this is an entry level cheer team, and no tryout is required, and there is no competition fee. This is a great way for your child to be on a entry level Midwest Xtreme cheer team with less time and financial commitment.
“Cheer 101 Team” is open to students ages 7-12. The team will practice every Thursday starting this week from 6-8 p.m. The season will end Thursday, Feb. 12, 2016.
There will be a short parent meeting on this Thursday, Oct. 8, at 6 p.m. during the first practice. Spots are limited and walk-ins are welcome. For more information, contact Tim Sammons at (574) 376-0348.
