Milford Resident Facing Theft And Burglary Charges
WARSAW — A Milford man is facing two burglary charges and two theft charges in Kosciusko Superior Court 1.
Kyle Thomas Henson, 30, 310 N. West St., Milford, was arrested Friday morning, Oct. 2, on two counts of burglary, level 5 felonies and two counts of theft, class A misdemeanors. He was held on $5,000 surety and $250 cash bond.
Kosciusko County Detective Josh Spangle filed an affidavit of probable cause with the courts today, Oct. 5. He states on Sept. 29, Garrett Howell, owner of Affordable Storage, reported when he arrived at the business he observed locks on two storage units had been cut and the units entered. Howell stated between Sept. 21 and Sept. 26, he had one other unit broken into in the same fashion.
Howell told police he checked the main entrance gate code and found Amanda Henson’s unit code had been used to enter at 3:17 a.m. Sept. 29. Checking further he found an individual arrived in a blue van. The units broken into are rented by Jon Brunner, Michael Pavlick and Becky Carlson.
Police spoke with Amanda Henson who stated she was getting a divorce from her husband, Kyle Henson. He has been living in a blue van for several weeks.
While Milford Police were investigating a burglary on Oct. 2, Henson was located driving the blue van. He was brought to the county jail on a charge of residential entry.
Henson admitted to police he entered the storage unit using Amanda Henson’s code, cutting the locks on the units. He stole a compressor, speakers, vacuum and travel Pro tool, which were then pawned at a Worldwide Pawn. The items were valued at less than $750.
Pavlick told police nothing appeared to be missing from his storage unit, other than a commercial refrigerator was damaged.
