David Dittman Jr.
David Dittman Jr., 60, of Warsaw, passed away at 11:12 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015 in his Warsaw residence.
Dittman was born July 13, 1955 to David F. Dittman Sr. and Earline Gladys (Brodock) Dittman in Hastings, Mich. He spent most of his life in the Warsaw area and served with the United States Navy on the USS Racine as part of the Pacific fleet.
Dittman was a truck driver for Creighton Brothers for 15 years before retiring in 2005. He also worked with the Indiana State Highway Department for five years. He was a member of God’s Highway to Heaven, and loved to fish.
Surviving Dittman are two daughters: Angelique (Jesse) Harter, Bainbridge, Ga.; and Misty Valdez, Warsaw; a son: DJ (Jessica) Dittman, Kirklin; a brother: Steven Dittman, Nappanee; two sisters: Nita (Roger) Waggoner, Russelville; and Norma Tayler, Warsaw; and seven grandchildren.
He was precededin death by his father: David Dittman; his mother: Earline Chapman; and brother: Bill Dittman.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12 at God’s Highway to Heaven, Warsaw. The service will be officiated by Pastor Bob Brown. Burial will follow at Harrison Center Cemetery, Etna Green.
