Four Winds Casino Announces Pinktober

NEW BUFFALO — The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians’ Four Winds Casinos are pleased to announce Pinktober, which is a series of events that will raise money for the Southwest Michigan affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Pinktober fundraising events include Friday night concerts and a silent auction at Hard Rock Cafe Four Winds, a wine and canvas event, and donating free sliders at New Buffalo’s 10th Annual Harvest and Wine Festival.
Hard Rock Cafe Four Winds will host concerts at 10 p.m. every Friday night in October. Guests can purchase a wristband that will give them admittance into each concert for $2 in advance or $5 at the door. Additionally, a representative from Susan G. Komen for the Cure will be at each concert to provide information on breast cancer awareness and answer questions.

- Friday, October 2: FM Stars (Top 40)
- Friday, October 9: Goodbye Hero (Top 40)
- Friday, October 16: Johnny Sprocket (Party Rock)
- Friday, October 23: Linda Chorney (Americana, Grammy nominee)
- Friday, October 30: 97Nine (Classic Rock)
Silent auctions will be conducted at Hard Rock Cafe Four Winds from 10 p.m. to midnight Friday, Oct. 16 and Friday, Oct. 30, with all proceeds benefitting the Southwest Michigan affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Some of the silent auction items include autographed guitars by Sammy Hagar and Bret Michaels; an autographed helmet and football by Notre Dame football coach Brian Kelly; an autographed basketball by Notre Dame basketball coach Mike Brey; an autographed football by Joique Bell of the Detroit Lions; a KitchenAid Standmixer and select Hard Rock merchandise.
On Wednesday, Oct. 14 and Wednesday, Oct. 28, Hard Rock Cafe Four Winds will host a Wine and Canvas event. An instructor and assistant will work with each guest to re-create a featured painting. The event is approximately three hours and includes a 16 by 20 gallery wrapped canvas, easels, brushes, paints, aprons and paper products. The cost is $35 and $5 of each entry fee will be donated to the Southwest Michigan affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. On Saturday, Oct. 10, Hard Rock Cafe Four Winds will provide Java Lava Sliders to attendees of New Buffalo’s 10th Annual Harvest and Wine Festival. There is a suggested donation of $2 for each slider, with all donations benefiting the Southwest Michigan affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Hard Rock Cafe’s Java Lava Sliders feature an espresso crusted beef patty, cheddar cheese, bacon, crispy onions and lava sauce.
