Indiana Residents Among Forbes 400
INDIANA — Forbes recently ranked the nation’s top 400 richest residents for 2015 and four Hoosiers have made this year’s list.
Carl Cook, Bloomington, CEO of medical device company, Cook Group, was the state’s richest resident, making the national list at number 82 with a net worth of $5.8 billion. Others from Indiana included Herbert Simon, Indianapolis, co-founder of Simon Property, ranked number 234 with a net worth of $2.8 billion; Dean White, Crown Point, real estate and hotels, ranked number 268 at $2.5 billion; and James Irsay, Carmel, owner of the Indianapolis Colts, ranked number 293 at $2.3 billion.
Making the top 10 overall were, in order from number one to number 10, were Bill Gates, Microsoft founder, at $76 billion; Warren Buffet, Berkshire Hathaway CEO, at $62 billion; Larry Ellison, founder and former CEO of Oracle, $47.5 billion; Jeff Bezos, Amazon founder and CEO, at $47 billion; Charles Koch, Koch Industries CEO, at $41 billion; David Koch, Koch Industries executive vice president, at $41 billion; Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook founder, at $40.3 billion; Michael Bloomberg, Bloomberg CEO, at $38.6 billion; Jim Walton, Arvest Bank Group, Inc. CEO and chairman, $33.7 billion; and Larry Page, Google CEO, at $33.3 billion.
