Willard (Bill) Dausman
Willard (Bill) Dausman passed away peacefully on Sept. 26, 2015, in Lovell, Wyo. at the age of 83.
Bill is survived by his brothers: Jetty Dausman; Everett Dausman, both of Leesburg; his children: Dan (Meg) Dausman, Pierceton; Kathy Cahill, Pierceton; Dave (Carrie) Dausman, Lovell, Wyo.; Jay (Elizabeth) Dausman, Pierceton; and his stepchildren: Val (Bruce) Sweetheimer, Pierceton; Ray (Deb Smith) Jones, North Manchester; Lynnette (Willie) Ream, North Webster; Bart (Dawn) Jones, Pierceton; Lori (Doug) Greene, Syracuse; and Melanie Burkett, Pierceton; 30 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife: Wilma; brother: Glen; sister: Lois; and son: Allen.
Bill was born on April 9, 1932, in Oswego, to Vern and Martha Dausman. He married Wilma May 5, 1983. Bill began his working life designing and building mobile home parks including Lake Estates in Indiana. Later in life he was employed by Zimmer, Inc. where he worked in research and development.
Bill was an accomplished horseman and longtime member of the American Quarter Horse Association. He passed on his talent and love of horses to his children and grandchildren. He was a patient and hardworking man that was always the first to volunteer a helping hand.
A grave side memorial was held Sept. 28 2015, in Byron, Wyo., and a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date in Indiana.
