Invasive Species Field Day
PIERCETON — Northern Indiana Cooperative Invasive Management will host an invasive Species Field Day from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Oct. 17. The event will be at the Koinonia Nature Preserve, Pierceton.
Participants should meet at the Retreat Center. The preserve is located at 6145 S. 650E, Pierceton.
Join the NICIM for a morning of invasive plant identification and removal. NICIM will begin with a brief discussion on invasive plants followed by actual identification and hands on removal of invasive plants at Koinonia Nature Preserve.
There will also be demonstrations of chemical and mechanical removal of invasive plants. Don’t forget to bring work gloves.
