Cross Country Teams Run At Rochester
Both the Whitko boys and girls cross country teams ran at Rochester Wednesday night and both were shorthanded, keeping them from getting a team score.
Josh Wright paced the boys with a time of 18:36, placing him fourth. Logan Busz (19:51), Zack Freel (20:25) and Kort Gebert (27:58) rounded out the times for the boys.
For the girls it was Brigit Nemitz leading the pack. Nemitz finished second with her time of 21:54. Suzi Sickafoose placed third (22:17) while Hannah Yohe also took a top 10 time at 24:25, placing her sixth. Lizz Foutz finished 14th with her time of 29:40.
Both teams will run at IPFW in the New Have Invitational this Saturday.
Girls Soccer Ties Eastbrook
Illyssa Bennett recorded 10 saves to help Whitko earn a draw in its final home game of the season. Madysen Overmeyer scored the tying goal off an assist from Leighandra Goodman.
Eastbrook Blanks ‘Cats On Pitch
Eastbrook took home a 3-0 victory over Whitko Wednesday night. Keeper Devin Goggin recorded 12 saves for the Wildcats.
