Hazel Brown
Hazel Brown, 85, Rochester, died at 1:55 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21, at Woodlawn Hospital in Rochester.
She was born on July 21, 1930, in Prestonsburg, Ky. to Sam and Verlie (Nolen) Wireman. After living in Kentucky Hazel moved to Ohio, then to Warsaw where she lived for 16 years. She then moved to Rochester to live with her daughter Frances Rhodes for two years until she passed away.
Hazel was married to Vernon Ousley who is deceased, and then she married Mitchell Bolen who is still living but divorced. She then married Paul Brown who is also deceased. Hazel was a factory worker at Torin – Brookside, Rochester, for 33 years and then retired. She was a member of the Rochester F.O.E., Eagles Lodge #852. She enjoyed gardening and putting puzzles together.
Survivors include second husband: Mitchell Bolen; daughter: Frances (Gary) Rhodes, Rochester; two grandchildren: Jason Rhodes; Erin (fiancee Jared Ganshorn) Rhodes; six great-grandchildren: Austin; Braxton; Skyler; Annie; Braydon; and Eli. Preceding Hazel in death are her parents; husbands: Vernon Ousley; Paul Brown; son: Curtis E. Ousley; brother: Milton Wallen; sister: Adie Moore.
Private graveside services with no visitation were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw, officiated by Pastor Robert Brown of God’s Highway to Heaven church. Memorial contributions may be made to giver’s choice.
