Tigers Fall To Pair Of Ranked Opponents
MICHIGAN CITY – Warsaw took on two of the best in the state Saturday and came up short in pool play at the Michigan City Volleyball Invite.
Warsaw went toe-to-toe with Class 4-A No. 7 Fort Wayne Concordia but came up just short in a 25-20, 22-25, 13-15 loss. The Tigers rallied against Northern Lakes Conference foe Concord 25-23, 25-10 in round two, but then fell to 4-A No. 4 Valparaiso in three games. Warsaw won the first game 25-21, but the Vikings rallied with a 25-19, 15-10 close.
Top performers for the day for Warsaw were Jordyn Lindeman with 26 kills, six blocks and three aces. Cassie Hoag had 76 assists and six aces. Peyton Adamiec added 49 digs, Lexie Day three blocks and Lina Mayer had 39 digs and 23 kills.
Warsaw moves to 13-7 overall and will return to the court Thursday in hosting NLC opponent Wawasee.
