Plymouth Tops In JV NLC Tennis
SYRACUSE – Plymouth scored 22 points to hold off Warsaw and Goshen for the JV boys tennis title at the NLC Reserve Saturday morning at Wawasee.
Plymouth won the two and three singles courts with titles from Mitch Rose and Hudson Yoder and were second in the one singles and two doubles brackets to cap its fine afternoon. Warsaw won the one singles and two doubles courts to finish with 19 points. Spencer Britton won the one singles bracket and the team of Ethan Hoff and Bryce Pequignot claimed the two doubles title.
Goshen took the one doubles title and were third with 17 points, hailing Bobby Sessa and Nathaniel Wertz as champs.
Concord was fourth at 12 points, NorthWood fifth at 11, Memorial sixth at 6, Wawasee seventh at 5 and Northridge eighth at 3.
Warsaw had Chandler Williams finish third in two singles play and the team of Nick Marsh and Kyler Bartol take third at one doubles.
The varsity NLC tournament will begin this Wednesday and carry on through Saturday.
