Olivia S. Ramirez
Olivia S. Ramirez, 67, of North Webster, passed away at 8:21 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015 at her home. She was born on Sept. 15, 1948 in Brownfield, Tex., to Jesus & Julia (Garcia) Salazar.
She grew up in Texas and attended public schools in Brownfield. She was married April 1967 in Altus, Okla., to Refugio M. “Cuco” Ramirez who survives. She was a homemaker and formerly worked at Rinker Boats in Syracuse and Barth Manufacturing in Milford. She moved to North Webster 30 years ago from Milford.
She was a member of the Church of the Brethren in North Webster and was an avid bingo player.
She is survived by her husband: Cuco Ramirez, North Webster; two daughters: Norma (Don) Caudill, North Webster; and Nancy (Harold) Fretz, New Paris; one son: Refugio “Fugi” (Tammy) Ramirez, Leesburg; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two sisters: Eizabeth (Ken) Harrington, Nappane; Martha (Bobby) Fretz, Goshen; brothers: Joe (Rosa) Salazar, Syracuse; Jack Salazar, Milford; Jimmy Salazar, Bristol.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Gloria A. Salazar and Lenora Mediano, and two brothers, Jess Salazar and an infant brother.
Visitation will be from 4–7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21 at the Church of the Brethren, 7281 E 600N, North Webster. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. on Monday in the church with Pastor Robert Wyman of the church officiating. Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw.
