John Lorene Hill
John Lorene Hill, 94, of Nappanee, passed away at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Center for Hospice House in Elkhart. He was born on Oct. 9, 1920, in Shipshewana, to Delbert E. and Blanche E. (Kreighbaum) Hill.
He graduated in 1939 from North Webster High School, attended Barber College in Indianapolis, and was a United States Army Air corps veteran. On Sept. 8, 1945, he married Klara E. Muntinga who survives. He retired from the mobile home industry after 30 years, having worked for Kropf and Shult Mobile Homes. He lived in Carmel, Marietta, Ga., Orleans and North Webster before moving to Nappanee 3 years ago.
He formerly attended the North Webster Church of the Brethren.
He is survived by his wife: Klara Hill, Nappanee; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents; four sisters: Edna Hill; Bertha Wolfe; Effie Hickman; Dorothy Swinehart; and four brothers: Walter Leroy; Robert Lamar; Edward Lawrence; and Raymond Edgar Hill.
No services are planned. Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, Warsaw. Burial will be at a later date in Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Middlebury. Owen Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
