Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
3:44 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, North CR 300E and north East CR 1000N, Milford. Drivers: Odis J. Shepherd, 45, Lincoln Highway, Plymouth, and Heather L. Wallace, 27, East Center Street, Bourbon. Shepherd suffered an abrasion to the head and was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Shepherd was making a u-turn in a private driveway and turned onto CR 300E in the path of the Wallace vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
6:32 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, East Armstrong Road, west of North CR 450E, Leesburg. Driver: Jarrod A. Wood, 22, South CR 50W, Churubusco. Wood complained of pain to the elbow/lower arm and was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Fell asleep while driving, vehicle hit NIPSCO pole. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
6:06 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, Husky Trail, south of East CR 200N, Warsaw. Police were in pursuit of a 1996 Chevrolet Trail Blazer southbound on Husky Trail from East CR 200N, when the driver, Brian O. Ivey, 29, Sand Dollar Drive, Warsaw, exited the vehicle while it was in forward motion and the vehicle struck a guardrail on the west side of Husky trail. Ivey was apprehended and charged with operator never licensed and operating a vehicle without financial responsibility. Damage up to $10,000.
6:02 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, West Winona Avenue and South Hand Avenue. Drivers: Brian O. Ivey, 29, Sand Dollar Drive, Warsaw, and Jason T. Sausaman, 28, North CR 650W, Warsaw. Ivey drove his vehicle out in front of Sausaman’s vehicle, causing the vehicles to collide. Ivey then left the scene. He was later located and arrested for leaving the scene of a property damage accident. He was also charged with operating a vehicle without financial responsibility. Damage up to $2,500.
