Ralph Minnix
Ralph Minnix, 66 of Pierceton, passed away at 5 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015, in his residence.
On July 31, 1949, he was born in Jackson, Ky. to Weldon and Edith (Burton) Minnix. He was united in marriage to Pamela K. Yoder on May 8, 1980, in Clintwood, Va., who survives.
Living most of his life in the Kosciusko County area, Ralph worked for Explorer Van, Warsaw as a driver for thirty years, retiring in 2013. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and family and going out for drives.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years: Pamela Minnix, Pierceton; four children: Charley Thomas, Palestine; Janice (Bill) Hyde, Pierceton; Jeremy (Angela) Thomas, North Manchester; and Dawn (Will) Hyde, Sidney; one brother: Lowell (Audrey) Minnix, Pierceton; three sisters: Carolyn (Barry) Sapp, Sidney; Brenda Norris, Bosewell, Okla.; and Freda (Kenny) Boggs, South Whitley; seven grandchildren: Brandon Breece, Milford; Cody Thomas, Milford; Austin Hyde, Pierceton; Braxton Hyde, Pierceton; Dakota Hyde, Sidney; Keea Hyde, Sidney; Brooklyn Thomas, North Manchester; and two great-grandchildren: Keegan and Korbin Breece, Milford.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: Lloyd Minnix; Harold Minnix; Noah “Bo” Minnix; and two sisters: Maddie Rhodes; and Zula Faye Owens.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton, with Pastor William Whitaker officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton. Visitation hours will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, 2015 also from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, in the funeral chapel.
