Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
3:04 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, East CR 1300N and North CR 250E, Milford. Drivers: Dale F. Jones, 44, CR 32, Goshen, and Christopher Pauwels, 42, East Dove Lane, Milford. While attempting to turn the corner, Jones’s vehicle collided with Pauwels’ vehicle, which was stopped at the stop sign. Damage up to $2,500.
7:50 a.m. Monday, Sept. 14, East CR 650N and EMS T47 Lane, Leesburg. Drivers: Riley A. Pierson, 16, East CR 300N, Warsaw, and Kevin E Bell, 54, 159 EMS T49 Lane, Syracuse. While Pierson was attempting to pass Bell, his vehicle hit a dip and collided with Bell’s vehicle before hitting a post. Pierson admitted to driving at a high rate of speed and passing on a double yellow. He was cited. A passenger in Pierson’s vehicle had minor bleeding to the face. Damage up to $25,000.
11:49 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, North SR 13 and East CR 350N, Warsaw. Drivers: Leo B. Hardy, 66, Woodchuck Drive, Pendleton, and Sarah B. McKinley, 36, West CR 600N, Leesburg. While turning the corner, Pendleton’s vehicle struck McKinley’s vehicle, which was stopped at the stop sign. Damage up to $5,000.
9:44 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, West CR 900N west of North CR 1000W, Warsaw. Driver: Brook E. Germann, 43, West Nottingham Drive, Nappanee. Hit deer. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
7:56 a.m. Monday, Sept. 14, 3521 Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Drivers: Ruthie E. Dolby, 71, North Greenwood Drive, Warsaw, and Jamie N. Albert, 25, South SR 25, Mentone. While pulling into a parking lot, Dolby became distracted by a group of bicyclists and her vehicle collided with Albert’s. Damage up to $5,000.
