Throwback Tuesdays Return To Eagles Theatre

WABASH — The Eagles Theatre will present classic films every Tuesday beginning Oct. 6 through Dec. 22. Show times are at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., admission is $2 per person. Thanks to our Throwback Tuesday Sponsors: Lead Sponsor First Farmers Bank & Trust and Associate Sponsor Premier Home Health Care.
The following is a complete movie listing of Throwback Tuesdays:
“The Goonies,” Oct. 6. In order to save their home from foreclosure, a group of misfits set out to find a pirate’s ancient treasure.
“Monty Python and the Holy Grail,” Oct. 13. King Arthur and his knights embark on a low-budget search for the Grail, encountering many very silly obstacles.
“Ghostbusters,” Oct. 20. Three unemployed parapsychology professors set up shop as a unique ghost removal service.
“Back to the Future Part II,” Oct. 27. After visiting 2015, Marty McFly must repeat his visit to 1955 to prevent disastrous changes to 1985 … without interfering with his first trip.
“Gaslight,” Nov. 3. Years after her aunt was murdered in her home, a young woman moves back into the house with her new husband. However, he has a secret that he will do anything to protect, even if it means driving his wife insane.
“His Girl Friday,” Nov. 10. A newspaper editor uses every trick in the book to keep his ace reporter ex-wife from remarrying.
“The Picture of Dorian Gray,” Nov. 17. A corrupt young man somehow keeps his youthful beauty, but a special painting gradually reveals his inner ugliness to all.
“To Kill a Mockingbird,: Nov. 24. Atticus Finch, a lawyer in the Depression-era South, defends a black man against an undeserved rape charge, and his kids against prejudice.
“Arthur Christmas,” Dec. 1. Santa’s clumsy son Arthur gets put on a mission with St. Nick’s father to give out a present they misplaced to a young girl in less than two hours.
T”he Polar Express,” Dec. 8. A young boy embarks on a magical adventure to the North Pole on the Polar Express. During his adventure he learns about friendship, bravery, and the spirit of Christmas.
“White Christmas,” Dec. 15. A successful song-and-dance team become romantically involved with a sister act and team up to save the failing Vermont inn of their former commanding general.
“It’s a Wonderful Life,” Dec. 22. An angel helps a compassionate but despairingly frustrated businessman by showing what life would have been like if he never existed.
