Janice J. Elder
Janice J. Elder, 76, Pierceton passed away in her residence at 1:45 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, 2015, at 1:45 p.m. She was born on March 26, 1939, to Walter and Erma (Engle) Bratt in Warsaw.
She graduated from Warsaw High School. She married Richard Camden, divorcing in 1967. Janice Married Howard “Danny” Elder on May 25, 1968, in Lafayette, Ga. Her places of employment were Gebert Inc. as a press operator making imprints on T-Shirts and The Pastime as a bartender. She worked at both place for 10 years. She was a member of the Ladies American Legion Auxiliary Post 258 in Pierceton.
Janice is survived by her husband: Danny, Pierceton; daughters: Sheri Cretcher, North Webster; Danielle (Jim) Ault, Pierceton; and Richard (Debra) Camden, Aurora, Ohio; a brother: Glee Bratt, Somers, Mont.; grandchildren: Elizabeth (companion Duane) Grunwell, Warsaw; James Cretcher, North Webster; Timothy (companion Breanna) Vermillion, Pierceton; and Amanda (Aaron) Godwin, Fort Wayne; step-grandson: Aaron (companion Britney) Ault, Akron; and six great-grandchildren.
Janice is survived by her husband, Danny of Pierceton; her daughters, Sheri Cretcher of North Webster, Danielle (and spouse Jim) Ault of Pierceton and Richard (and spouse Debra) Camden of Aurora, OH; a brother Glee Bratt of Somers, MT; grandchildren, Elizabeth Grunwell (and companion Duane) of Warsaw, James Cretcher of North Webster, Timothy Vermillion (and companion Breanna) of Pierceton and Amanda Godwin (and spouse Aaron) of Fort Wayne; a step grandson Aaron Ault (and companion Britney) of Akron, IN and 6 great grandchildren. She is preceded by 2 brothers Raymond Weaver and Claude Engle.
A memorial service will be held at noon Thursday, Sept. 17, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton. Burial will follow in Hillcrest cemetery, Pierceton. Chaplain Bob Jarboe will officiate. Calling will also be held from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday. at the funeral chapel, Pierceton.
