GOSHEN — Tall Walker is coming to Ignition Music Garage, which was voted top ten favorite venue by the Americana music association, Friday, Sept. 25. Elephant Rescue will open for them.
Tall Walker is a three-piece indie rock faction from Chicago with a sound that is pop sensible, rock friendly and sonically reminiscent of early U2. From the soft and sensitive, to the raucous and fuzzy, they entice with powerful delivery and thought provoking lyrics. Brought to life by recent Chicago transplant Nick Bays and Chris Hershman, Tall Walker spent most of 2012 in the fetal stages. With the addition of Ben Johnson on drums the trio has started recording selections from their catalog and is building a fan base in Chicago and Bays’s home state of S.C.
“A smokey jambalaya of thunderous funk, heavy blues, ruckus rock ‘n roll served with a side of jazz”, Elephant Rescue is a alternative blues rock trio from Niles, Mich. They play original music with influences ranging from New Orleans, swamp blues, alt rock and African roots.
Ignition Music Garage presents Tall Walker with special guest Elephant Rescue Friday, Sept. 25, 2015 as part of the ongoing Ignition Concert Series. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the concert begins at 7:30 p.m.
