Glen ‘Kenny’ Grunden
Glen “Kenny” Grunden, 80, of Rochester, passed at 2:13 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015, at LifeCare Center of Rochester.
He was born on Aug. 8, 1935, in Miltown, to Everet and Francis (Gregory) Grunden. He was married April 22, 1972, in Goshen, to Jonne VanHook. She survives. Glen had been an over the road truck driver for 50 years. He was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church and the Holton Masonic Lodge. He served his country in the Korean War in the U.S. Army. He loved NASCAR racing and traveling out in the western with his wife.
Kenny is survived by his wife: Jonne Grunden, Rochester; daughter: Malissa Sheese, Rochester; son-in-law: Brian Sheese, Poland; grandson: Austin Keyt, Rochester; granddaughter: Ashley Sheese, Poland; sister: Aileen (Jim) Cardinal, Vesales; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents; two brothers: William; and Charles; and a sister: Eillen Zaphne.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Rochester, and will be officiated by Rev. Phil Pratt. Visitation will be from 2-2:30 p.m. Saturday, also at the church.
Arrangements are entrusted to Hartzler Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church.
