Cromwell Man Dies In Iowa
MUSCATINE, IOWA— According to news channels near Muscatine, Iowa, Ramon Duque, 58, of Cromwell, drowned in the Mississippi River.
KCCI 8, Des Moines, Iowa, and WQAD Channel 8 Quad Cities, television stations, report emergency personnel were called to the Fairport Recreation Area at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6. Authorities were told Duque suddenly went under water and did not resurface. He was reportedly near the dock and not wearing a life jacket.
A dive team from the Iowa Department of Natural Resources and the Muscatine County Sheriff’s Office later found Duque’s body in the river. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
