William Glenn Rhoads
William Glenn Rhoads, age 61, of Plymouth, passed away at 8:26 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Culver.
William was born on May 7, 1954, in Indianapolis, to Lester “Max” and Beverly (Bohannon) Rhoads, Jr. On April 17, 1997, William married the former Cindy L. Kolar in ceremony in Plymouth. The Rhoads are members of The Cross church of Rochester. William previously worked in maintence at Aker Plastic in Plymouth for over 26 years. He owned and operated his own Boat Shop at home where he enjoyed repairing boat motors. William was active with Shop with a Cop Motorcycle Ride and the Plymouth FOP #195.
William is survived by his wife: Cindy L. Rhoads, Plymouth; three daughters: Amy (Aaron) Bird, Rochester; Tracy Schweisberger, Warsaw; Kelly Schwisberger, Plymouth; son: Lester E. Rhoads, Vincennes; William was also blessed with five grandchildren. William is preceded in passing by his father: Lester “Max” Rhoads; his brother: Lester Max Rhoads III; and his sister: Betty Jane Rhoads.
The Van Gilder Funeral Home is caring for the Rhoads family. A Funeral service in honor of William will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the Van Gilder Funeral Home, Plymouth, with the Pastor Martin Furrow officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Argos. A time of visiting with the Rhoads family will be held at the Van Gilder Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8.
The Rhoads family requests memorial contributions are made to Shop with a Cop, F.O.P. Lodge 195.
