Elkhart County Correctional Complex Offers Video Visitation
By CAPTAIN JAMES L. BRADBERRY
Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department
ELKHART — Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 1, friends and family of individuals incarcerated in the Elkhart County Correctional Complex may purchase a monthly Unlimited Video Visitation subscription and visit inmates from their homes or office.
When scheduling a visit, consumers are given an option to either pay for a single visit or subscribe to unlimited visitation for $19.99. If unlimited subscription is selected, consumers will be required to agree to new terms and conditions, which include storing credit card credentials and auto renewal of the subscription if the consumer does not cancel.
THE consumer can then schedule as many visits as he or she would like over the next 30 days without having to pay for each visit. The consumer’s credit card is automatically charged for another month of unlimited visitation on the same day of the following month in order to maintain their subscription and ability to participate in remote visitation as often as they would like.
The unlimited visitation subscription began Tuesday, Sept. 1. This is to be considered a new promotion that the correctional facility is running with no specific end date identified at this time.
