David G. Hoesel
David G. Hoesel, 63, of South Bend, passed away at 9 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015, at his home. He was born on April 19, 1952, in Culver, to John D. and Gwen M. (Graham) Hoesel. On Nov. 1, 2013, in South Bend, he was united in marriage to Martha Jean Robinson, who survives.
Mr. Hoesel is also survived by his daughter: Amy R. Overmyer, South Bend; son: Adam C. (Anna) Overmyer, Mishawaka; three grandchildren: Isaiah Freeze; Tia Freeze; and Melody Overmyer; sister: Sara (John), Indianapolis; brothers: Jim (Mary) and Fred Hoesel, Culver; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and brother: Jim Hoesel.
Mr. Hoesel was a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of Culver Academy and Ball State University. He worked as a chef for private chartered cruises and at Four Winds Casino. He also worked as a supervisor at St. Paul’s Retirement Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services.
