Robert Maggart, 81, of Cromwell, passed away Aug. 29, 2015, at Miller’s Merry Manor of Syracuse.

He was born on Nov. 9, 1933, in Columbia City, to Floyd and Rachel (Leininger) Maggart.

On April 10, 1953, he married Delores Hogan who survives. He retired from Don and Sons Excavating in 2013. He was a member of the Warsaw Moose Lodge, as well as the Syracuse Eagles.

He is survived by his wife: Delores Maggart, Cromwell; two daughters: Sandra (Cecil) Gonzales, New Paris; and Lisa (Kevin) Sawyer, Syracuse; one son: Mark (Lisa) Maggart, Cromwell; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded by one daughter: Cynthia Mullins, and one sister.

Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, at the Eastlund Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, at the Eastlund Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Syracuse Cemetery.
