Trine Expects Record Enrollment
ANGOLA — Trine University is preparing to welcome a record number of students when classes start next week.
School officials say last year they had 3,642 students, but this year they expect enrollment to increase by about 1,000 students. In 2013-2014, Trine had 2,417 students.
“For the third consecutive year, we’re projecting phenomenal enrollment growth. We’re anticipating 27 percent enrollment growth from last year, which shows that students and parents embrace Trine’s affordability and the fact that 99.7 percent of Trine grads are employed within six months of graduating,” Trine President Earl Brooks II said.
Trine says the majority of students are enrolled at Trine’s main campus with additional students taking classes at Trine’s Peoria, Ariz., campus and at the school’s eight education centers in Indiana and Michigan.
School officials believe the new master of science in engineering management and doctor of physical therapy programs also factored into the growth. Classes begin Monday, Aug. 24.
