Science Central will participate along with 11 other Fort Wayne cultural attractions in Visit Fort Wayne’s Be a Tourist in Your Own Hometown. This event gives local visitors the opportunity to visit any of the participating attractions for free from noon until 5 p.m. when they present their event “passport.” Visitors interested in participating in the event can print off a passport at visitfortwayne.com or pick one up at participating Fort Wayne Kroger stores or Old National Bank branches.
Saturday, Sept. 19-Saturday, Jan. 3 “Amazing Maize” touring exhibition

Come and learn about the genetic research that helps scientists to better explain the evolution of this crop and how that knowledge can improve everyday life, at both a local and global level. A walk-through maze will allow visitors to understand interesting information about popcorn, such as the history of popcorn, and why popcorn pops.

Science Central will host a Flying Wild Workshop for formal and informal educators interested in receiving the conservation training for Middle Schoolers.
