Registrations Underway For Continuing Education Classes
SYRACUSE — Registrations are being accepted now through Sept. 3 for fall 2015 continuing education classes at Wawasee High School. Classes will begin the week of Sept. 8.
Wawasee offers a variety of classes for non-credit and also offers instruction for preparation to pass the GED test to attain a high school diploma.
Anyone wishing to register for a class may send registration fee along with name, address and phone number to the Career/Technical and Continuing Education Office at Wawasee High School, 1 Warrior Path, Building 1, Syracuse IN 46567. If you have questions, please call (574) 457-3147, extension 2209 or come to door No. 1 at the high school any school day from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Offerings for the fall are:
• GED, no fee, 6-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
• Swimming, levels one to four, $45, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday beginning Sept. 8 for nine classes — infant (6 months to 2 years), 5:30-6 p.m. or 6-6:30 p.m.; levels one, two and three, 6:30-7:15 p.m.; levels one, two and four, 7:15-8 p.m. (indicate age, time and level of child swimmer).
• Water exercise, $40, Tuesday and Thursday beginning Tuesday, Sept. 29, Oct. 1, 6, 8, 13, 15, 20 (no class Oct. 22 due to fall break), 27 and 29, and Nov. 3, 5, 10, 12 for 13 classes from 6:30-8 p.m.
• Excel, $60, Monday and Wednesday beginning Sept. 21-Oct. 7 for six classes from 6-8 p.m.
• Fall harvest-culinary arts, $45, Tuesdays beginning Oct. 6 for four classes from 6:30-8 p.m.
• “Pound” drumming workout, $40, Tuesdays beginning Sept. 15-Oct. 20 for six classes from 6:30-7:15 p.m.
