Flood Plain Ordinance Goes To Council
WARSAW — A revision of the city’s flood plain ordinance, required by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, was approved Monday evening, Aug. 10, by Warsaw Plan Commission members. The ordinance will now go to the Warsaw Common Council on Aug. 17 for final approval.
Jeremy Skinner, city planner, had noted in previous meetings the document contained 99.9 percent of what is required by FEMA to be eligible for flood insurance. All he did was format the document in ordinance form.
The only other item on the agenda was presentation of the secondary plat for Harrison Ridge. The matter was tabled at the request of Steve Carlisle to allow more time to prepare documents.
The next meeting of the plan commission will be 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14.
