State Fair Begins Today
INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana State Fair has begun and, with it, a list of family-friendly activities.
Friday, Aug. 7
- College ID day, all day; college students admitted for free with active college ID
- Calgary Stampede, 2 p.m. in the grandstand; free concert
- Unlimited rides, noon to 11 p.m.; $20 online or $30 on-site
- Indigo Girls concert, 10 p.m. on the free stage
- Light Up the Night, 10 p.m.; nighttime parade featuring illuminated tractors and a hot-air balloon glow

Saturday, Aug. 8
- Music for All Indiana State Fair Band Day, preliminaries, 9 a.m., grandstand; $6 for adults and $2 for children
- Morris Day and the Time, 7:30 p.m., free stage
- Music for All Indiana State Fair Music Band Day, finals, 10 p.m., grandstand; $10 for adults and $4 for children

Sunday, Aug. 9
- Hispanic and Latino music festival, noon to 8 p.m., free stage
- Virtual farmer chat, 11 a.m., 2 p.m., 4 p.m., glass barn; $25 gift card giveaway at each chat
- Lucas Oil Indy Super Pull, 1 p.m. and 7 p.m., grandstand; $5 admission
