KOSCIUSKO — The Kosciusko Board of Realtors presented $2,800 to Kosciusko County Habitat for Humanity, raised from their recent 5K run/walk, titled “Build A Home-Run,” which took place Saturday, July 18, at Trails of Winona Lake.
In all, 55 runners and walkers and 17 sponsors helped raise funds to help currently eligible Habitat families move into their new homes. One of those families is the Robersons, scheduled to move into their new North Webster home this weekend.
According to Mickey Kaufman, executive director, Kosciusko Habitat for Humanity, the home blessing will take place at 5:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 7, at 304 N. Hickory W., North Webster.
The goal of this Build A Home-Run was to begin a long-lasting partnership between the Board of Realtors and their affiliates with Habitat to provide safe, affordable housing in Kosciusko County.
