Motorcyclist Airlifted After Accident Saturday
WARSAW — Stanley L. Geese, 46, East Dove Lane, Milford, complained of pain to the back after his motorcycle struck a deer on SR 15, Saturday evening, Aug. 1.
The accident occurred at 9:19 p.m. on North SR 15, north of West CR 400N, Warsaw. He was flown from the scene by Lutheran Air to Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department reports Geese was northbound on SR 15 when his 2012 Yamaha X13 collided with a deer in the middle of his lane of travel. Geese said he laid the motorcycle down and skidded along the roadway approximately 30 yards. The motorcycle then continued to skid along the roadway another 30 yards.
The officer reports Geese was bleeding from the head, face and legs and complained of back pain.
A witness, Deon J. Spitler, South Main Street, Goshen, was behind Geese’s motorcycle. She stated she looked down but when she looked back up he was sliding on the ground and the motorcycle was on its side.
Damage was estimated up to $2,500.
