Community Career Center Hosts Job Fair In August
WARSAW — Goodwill’s Warsaw Community Career Center will host several free Workshops and a Job Fair with multiple employers in August. The workshop and job fair will be held at the Community Career Center, 751 Anchorage Point Drive, Warsaw.
From 11 a.m. to noon every Thursday a Microsoft Word Workshop will offer an opportunity to advance word processing skills.
From 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, human resources manager Gary Gross will offer a workshop on Job Readiness. He’ll share information about the positive attributes job seekers can exhibit to make them stand out among other applicants.
From 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, a Resume and Interview Skills workshop will be held to offer tips for those who plan to attend the August Job Fair, or any future employment events.
Multiple employers and a staffing agency will participate in the Job Fair from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18.
Companies included are: Cavco Industries, Express Employment Professionals, Fairmont Homes, Helvey & Associates, Lowes, Meijer and Winona PVD Coatings.
They will be seeking individuals for a variety of positions in various fields, including: clerical, call center attendant, receiving/shipping clerk, welder/sander, general production, entry level orthopedic and CNC, warehouse/loader, cashier/delivery driver, maintenance, office administration, construction, sales, assembly, management, fiberglass, metal fabrication, Class A CDL driver and cabinet maker.
Those interested in attending the Job Fair should dress professionally; bring a current resume and a positive attitude. Candidates should also be prepared to interview for the position that day.
